Perham HRA is a public housing agency that helps provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Perham HRA manages several funded programs and has a total of 60 subsidized affordable housing units for rental assistance. Perham HRA administered a total of 50 Section 8 Vouchers. Perham HRA currently has Low-Rent as its program type. Perham HRA is located at 2nd, Perham, MN, 56573 and serves the city of Perham. Perham Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) and City of Perham have identified a need for affordable housing and offer the following programs:
Tax Increment Financing (TIF) uses the increase from taxes from the construction of new homes to help with financing. Through the use of TIF, the costs of special assessments for sewer, water, and street improvements are reduced for qualified buyers. The City of Perham currently has a tax increment district for Westwind First Addition, Westwind Second Addition, Westwind Third Addition, Clearwater Estates, Clearwater Estates First Addition.

Employer Assisted Housing Program is designed to provide gap financing to those who want to build a new home, purchase a newly constructed home, or purchase a previously owned home within the City of Perham. Gap financing is utilized to cover closing costs and to lower the purchase price of a home. For qualified applicants, gap financing packages with a combination of loans and grants can total as much as $14,500!
